The Bvlgari Serpenti Seduttori Tourbillon reveals the finest expression of time for the watchmaking jeweller.

Adapting technical considerations and horological constraints to suit Bvlgari’s expression of refined feminine aesthetics, the rare tourbillon for women – BVL150 Calibre is created as a shaped movement (a rarity in the industry due to practical economic concerns) to fit the Serpenti-shaped case. The small Serpenti specific Haute Horlogerie movement is rhodium-plated, and then hand-decorated with Côtes de Genève, perlage and bevelling.

The Bvlgari Serpenti Seduttori Tourbillon’s manufacture calibre marks a return to the golden age of watchmaking before the 70s Quartz Crisis when compact quartz movements all but ended mechanical innovation in small form movements. A transparent sapphire caseback at the plane of the tourbillon highlights the gorgeous movement and hand finishing, a winding stem inclined of 6 degrees, located between 2h and 3h, and special pavé setting was also designed to achieve as thin a case as possible.

Bvlgari’s new Serpenti Seduttori Tourbillon models come in rose gold or white gold with diamond pavé and a leather strap or white gold with diamond pavé and a full diamond bracelet. Five other new Serpenti Seduttori editions round out the 2020 collection with reinterpretations of the typical snake-skin smooth bracelet, showcasing a precious edition with diamonds and a sophistication variation with alternating rose or white gold and steel.

New Bvlgari Divas’ Dream Minute Repeater Malachite

Joining another of Bvlgari’s signature motifs — the Diva fan-shape with an extraordinary mechanical movement to create the thinnest ladies’ minute repeater to date. In the latest Divas’ Dream, Bvlgari continues to push form and function, bringing a high complication in the form of the new Bvlgari Divas’ Dream Minute Repeater Malachite so named for its face of brilliant green malachite matched only by the gleaming countenance of diamond pave – the true quintessence of Bvlgari’s style.

Matching the resplendence of Malachite, another addition to the Divas’ Dream assortment comes with a deep blue lapis lazuli dial with gold flecks, reminiscent of aventurine.

Standing at 550 meters, Burj Jumeira is Dubai’s next tallest building

Since its launch in 2009, the Burj Khalifa has been the tallest building in the world. Initially named the Burj Dubai, it was designed to be the crown jewel of Dubai thanks to the region’s first-ever large-scale, mixed-use development. Renamed in honour of the ruler of Abu Dhabi and president of the United Arab Emirates, Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the BurJ Khalifa is about to be replaced by the Burj Jumeria a decade later.

Dubai is the largest city in the United Arab Emirates and home to many beautiful sky-high buildings and the list of high-raises will never stop. Inspired by ripples of dessert dunes and oases, the American architect firm, Skidmore, Owings & Merrill (SOM) worked on a 550-metre-tall split-volume skyscraper in Dubai. Unveiled by state-owned Dubai Holding, the supertall skyscraper has been dubbed as the “new icon in Dubai’s skyline”.

Located near the city’s waterfront opposite the Sheikh Zayed Road and will be the next centerpiece of Downtown Jumeira district, the visuals of Burj Jumeira is pretty magnificent. The 1,804 feet (550-meter) high tower – taller than New York’s One World Trade Center – Burj Jumeira tower’s oval-shaped base is patterned with Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum’s fingerprint; the next tallest building in the world will form the heart of Dubai’s latest prestige project, hosting the region’s premier “social, cultural and artistic events and activities”. The mirrored pond will be surrounded by shops, and be complete with water fountains and a terraced outdoor amphitheater.

Sister of 828-meter-tall Burj Khalifa, the scheme’s façade will contain a digital display capable of lighting up the tower. This interactive ethos will continue inside, with digital displays on the tower’s observation decks. Accessible via lifts with digital screens to carry visitors through a distinctive experience, the platforms will offer a 360-degree panoramic views of Dubai and the opportunity to even skydive. Adding on, there will a flexible event space named the Crown at 450 meters. It will be connected to a sky-lounge and sky-restaurant, which has the ability to extend to host larger scale events.

The entire development designed in the outline of the Dubai ruler’s thumbprint will also contain a terraced outdoor amphitheater for cultural events and a water fountain. The upcoming, neighbouring new residential towers along with Dubai Square Mall is essentially $2 billion tech-driven mega-mall the size of 100 soccer fields.

The Burj Jumeira will be connected to the Sharaf DG Metro Station via covered pathway, which will also extend to the iconic Burj Al Arab Jumeirah, a hotel on an artificial island 280 metres from Jumeirah Beach. However, work on the Burj Jumeira only began on 31 January 2019, and is expected to reach the first phase of complete in 2023.

Bulgari Icons and Eternity of Rome in Jumeirah, Dubai

Bulgari Icons and Eternity of Rome in Jumeirah, Dubai

Located in the popular central area of Jumeira, the district is a highly sought-after destination especially for tourists. Just a few miles away from many of the city’s attractions, guests from the newly opened Bulgari Resort & Hotel can travel out and wind their ways through the avenue and experience the city’s flavours, culture and diverse hotspots, such as the Al Fahidi Historical Neighbourhood along Dub towards northai Creek, Downtown, Dubai Marina as well as Jumeirah Beach Residence.

With the opening of The Bulgari Resort & Hotel, it takes on a new benchmark for Dubai; every design detail of the strikingly facade of the building is diligently crafted to a pure Italian style, in partnership with renowned Italian architect firm, Antonio Citterio Patricia Viel. While, inside the interior, each room is furnished with outstanding luxury Italian furniture brands, and each piece was either designed or chosen by Antonio Citterio Patricia Viel, and often tailor-made for the property.

Drawing attention to the facade, the architect considered a beautiful style surrounding the idea of a fine jewel, which is synonymous to the Roman luxury brand, Bulgari. Having styled with rare, raw materials according to their colour, texture and feel, sculpting them to shine, beautify and endure, the Bulgari Resort in Dubai embraced what is calls “a peerless example of luxury hospital.”

“From travertine marble to shining onyx, The Bulgari Resort Dubai relied on the extensive use of fine materials and finishes to establish the durability and timelessness incarnated by its home country.” – Issued in a statement by Bulgari Resort & Hotel Dubai.

Jumeirah’s very own Italian interpretation of luxury

As outlined by the “layers superior quality materials” with tasteful Bulgari touches, the exterior structure carries an “incarnating bold contrasts, clean, regal lines, and the ubiquity of spaciousness, the property maintains an impeccable elegance, creating a continuity that permeates the property’s every detail.”

At The Bulgari Resort Dubai, service is key and providing a supreme hotel guest experience is paramount. Both creation and comfort are of utmost importance too. To echo the same unequivocal luxury as the iconic jewellery brand, Bvlgari, the Bulgari resort “replicates the eternity of its homeland by investing in premium materials.”

Created on the overlay of the horizontal lining, “the lively shadow pattern of coral-like sunscreens, shiny and light like porcelain” provides an eye-catching centrepiece, though different from the white marble richly veined with back and gold arabesques of the walls you will soon come across at the hotel podium.

“A fine oak wood surface, with long and thin planks, recalls the deck of a ship and clad the interior surfaces”, according to the source. “The transparency of the facade, with its almost invisible large sliding doors, completes the perfect readability of this building.”

Stepping in to the resort, guests will be greeted by a truly exceptional setting bathed by the warm, polished woods and exceptional hand-selected marble, and superior textiles.

Officially opened on December 7, the Bulgari Resort & Hotel is set to attract travellers and tourists to enjoy and experience the resort’s shining, pastel grandeur.

Bugatti Opens World’s Largest Luxury Hypercar Showroom in Dubai

Dubai is the single biggest market for Bugatti’s hypercars so where better to build the marque’s biggest official dealership to date? Located on the Sheikh Zayed Road, the showroom is impossible to miss despite the exclusivity of the address or of neighbouring structures, thanks to an architectural recreation of the marque’s famous horseshoe grille that serves as a four metre high arch over the plate glass doorway.

The space occupies over 240 square metres, a huge area for a dealership dealing in a single model. However, as the United Arab Emirates boasts more Bugatti owners per capita than any other region in the world, the space, created and managed by Al Habtoor Motors, needs to be something special.

“A location of this significance and appeal for our brand has earned a superlative showroom,” said Dr. Stefan Brungs, Bugatti’s global head of sales, marketing and customer service. “Many Bugatti customers who have been the closest and most loyal ambassadors of our brand for many years live in this region.”

Indeed, Al Habtoor Motors is the world’s most successful official Bugatti dealer. It maintains 55 Bugatti Veyrons for their owners and is now in the process of honouring 30 local orders for its replacement, the 1500hp multi-million-dollar Chiron.

“The UAE is always striving to be the best. Our target was, therefore, to bring the largest, most beautiful Bugatti showroom to the heart of Dubai,” said Sultan Al Habtoor, President of Al Habtoor Motors.

The experience is meant to be akin to a private art viewing while ordering a bespoke suit. Clients are welcomed into a lounge furnished with unique Bugatti furniture where they work through every conceivable option and element of personalization they would like to see on their Chiron, before examining the car itself and taking in art and design drawn from Bugatti’s rich heritage.

Such attention to detail or to personalization may seem extreme, but the average Bugatti owner also has a fleet of other equally exotic and rare automobiles and every step must be taken to make the Chiron seem like a true object of desire. “Some of [our UAE clients] are proud owners of car collections with even several Bugatti super sports cars,” said Dr Brungs, “The new showroom will not only be the perfect platform for the Chiron but also honours our special customers.”

The Chiron will be capped at exactly 500 examples. Bugatti has confirmed that over half have already been sold and that to date, 26% of all orders taken have been from clients living in the UAE.
